Drug possession

It is against the law to use, possess, cultivate or traffic a drug of dependence, including marijuana, heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, LSD and ecstasy.

Public intoxication

It is no longer against the law to be intoxicated (affected by alcohol) in public in Victoria. Police cannot arrest or fine you for being intoxicated. Learn about the health-based model now in place.
